Tripod Base

Macro photography is an interesting segment of photography and can be very rewarding if done correctly. Below I've listed some things you need to begin with notes on each.
1. Macro Lens. Many cameras allow you to define your approach to that is very close to your subject, a macro lens allows you to focus much closer, and should let you reach a 1:1 ratio as its theme is exactly the same size as the image. Most lens manufacturers produce macro lenses in a length of 100 mm or 105 mm, and some also are 150mm or 200mm. The advantage of the longer lens is that you need not be so close to his subject in order to obtain ration of 1:1. This can be advantageous when shooting wildlife or moving subjects. Most underwater housings have ports for 100/105mm lenses.
2. Tripod. Because you are focused so close to its object, its depth of field is very small. To help counter this, you have to shoot to F16 or higher means that your shutter speed will be very slow. This requires a tripod. A tripod will also help in setting up his shot. Elimination center column and the assembly of the head as close to the tripod collar will help you get as low to the ground as possible. Some tripods allow reverse the center column and bottom of the camera all the way to the floor. This is useful, but can be difficult because the camera is backwards. Some tripods are designed to stretch your legs out flat, making it perfect for macro photography.
3. Flash. With a small depth of field and openness, have to add in as much light as possible in his image, and here is where the flash can use a normal flash that sits on top of the camera or a flash ring that binds to its target and gives the light from all angles. Alternatively, you can also find a bar that lets you use two flashes (one on each side of the camera),
4. Remote cable for your flash. Connect one end of the shoe of the camera, and the other for the flash, and voila! Now you can move the flash that you like. Try using the flash at different angles and power settings to produce different effects.
5. Reflectors. The reflectors are flexible discs which are often coated and can be colored to reflect the light in you wish. Usually carry at least a small one in my bag specifically for the macro. It fold into almost nothing and lie down for easy packing. I like one with a coating of a "soft gold" and often take place under the flowers to reflect light up below the flower. This usually brings light on the stem and base of the flower adding depth. It's a subtle thing, and you can take your images to the next level.
6. Flash Diffuser. These soften the light from your flash that can help give your images a more natural look. Most broadcasters are white, but also Color can put movie on your version of Flash to incorporate specific colors in your image.
7. Remote cable for the camera. Some cameras use a trigger cable, while others use a wireless remote control. Either you will not fire the shutter without moving the camera. Given the speed of very slow shutter, they help reduce motion blur. Alternatively, some cameras have a timer for 2 seconds, which can also be used to help eliminate camera shake.
8. Extension rings or tubes. These are the rings of variable thickness that granted by the objective and camera. They have no glass in some cases it may be better to set the focus and move the camera until the desired subject in focus. Mount the camera on the rail focus, then mount the rail on your tripod. The rail allows the camera to move in very small increments so that your object of focus.
This may seem like much, but once some of this equipment in your bag, you will find yourself reaching for all along. It may take a little practice to coordinate tripod, flash and reflector, but once you have it down, you can watch your pictures dramatically improve macro.
