Dual Input
Increasing the resilience of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) often involves the installation of a configuration known as UPS parallel when the outputs of two or more modules (capable of operating in parallel) is connected to supply the load through a common AC bus bar. A group UPS modules in parallel is called a UPS. The two basic configurations are known as parallel parallel redundancy and parallel capacity. Parallel-redundant UPS systems to build resilience.
Resilience of parallel redundant uninterruptible power supply may be greater utilization dual input supply whereby the same UPS system is supplied separately and supply rectifier static switch. Most facilities are based in a common power supply power supply both the UPS and static bypass, but creates a single point of failure in design. In case of a circuit breaker trip upstream due to a fault, the rectifier and by-pass and have no source of AC power. The use of separate input supply two sources of derivatives (including substations separately) eliminates this problem.
Typically, transformer-based UPS has dual input facility as standard but in the transformer model is a factory setting option as the rectifier and bypass, in this case, having a common neutral.
Transformer based UPS
The dual input option in a transformer-based UPS can choose to install by simply removing a link connector of your input terminal. The UPS can be fed from two independent sources of supply of alternating current, because in this type of rectifier and bypass module are independent of each other. A typical transformer-based UPS has an input rectifier with a three phase (delta) and diversion of supply which may have a phase three or more single-phase input neutral. Some UPS of this type can also function without a neutral connection.
Transformer UPS
In the rectifier transformer and UPS deliveries require bypass common neutral connection, made in the module itself. This type of UPS can be installed with a double entrance, but with supplies from the same source, which is obviously not as strong as if the supplies from independent sources. Nevertheless, allow a bypass provision to supply the load in the event that the UPS has to be temporarily down for maintenance, service or repair. Adaptability Uninterruptible power systems is what every energy project seeks to maximize protection and dual input supplies are only a technique that can be employed to ensure that the loads can be maintained even in the face of system problems, such as fault conditions, closures of overload or feeding problems of any kind.
